Art and science have always had some influence on each other throughout history. We use analogies and metaphors in art to explain science “physicists and thought the inner space of an atom looked like a miniature solar system with the atomic nucleus as the sun and the whirring electrons as a planet in orbit… Bohr said, ‘when it comes to atoms, language can be used only as in poetry.’ ordinary words couldn’t capture the data.” (Lehrer ). The human mind can not always comprehend some science, and not because of lack of intelligence but lack of ability to understand. We only possess the capacity to visualize four dimensions. There will always be parts of science that can not be explained, that is the purpose of science, finding the truth to those things that cannot be explained. Science in fact by answering one question only brings up more questions “once upon a time, and more than once, physicist thought they had the universe solved, some of the obscure details remained, but the basic structure of the cosmos was understood. … relativity theory emerged, fundamentally altering classical notions about the relationship of space and time.” (Lehrer ). There will always be the mystery of science, therefore there will always be a need to explain the mysteries in a way people can understand. Art is our way to explain the mysteries and theories of the universe. Without the artistic creativity for analogies and metaphors, we cannot comprehend sciences greatest phenomenon.

This is fantastic. Introduce your quotes, however. I’d also like to see you connecting disparate texts. Keep those thoughts and opinions coming. I look forward to reading your paper.
